New Bell Schedule Flyer

The Texarkana Arkansas School District (TASD) will implement new school hours beginning with the 2025-2026 academic year. This adjustment comes as part of the district’s ongoing efforts to meet state requirements for the instructional day, enhance student learning experiences, support families, and optimize school operations.

Superintendent Dr. Lloyd Jackson shared, “These changes are the result of careful planning and input from school leaders and stakeholders. We believe the new schedule better supports our students' academic success, extracurricular commitments, and family responsibilities, all while ensuring that state standards are met.”

Starting in Fall 2025, the bell schedules for each school level will be as follows:

  • College Hill Pre-K Center: 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM

  • Elementary: 8:20 AM – 3:50 PM

  • Middle School: 7:55 AM – 3:10 PM

  • High School: 7:55 AM – 3:10 PM

Early drop-off times will also be available to assist working families:

  • Pre-K Center: 7:20 AM

  • Elementary Schools: 7:30 AM

  • Middle & High Schools: 7:00 AM

Why the Change?
This shift in the bell schedule is designed with students and families in mind. The goals include:

  • Reducing tardiness at the elementary level, leading to smoother daily routines and more consistent instructional time.

  • Providing more instructional minutes for high school students involved in athletics and band, especially on game days—eliminating the need to miss final class periods for travel.

  • Improving family logistics by allowing older students to assist with the pickup of younger siblings, enhancing both convenience and safety.

The district understands that change can require adjustment, and we thank our students, staff, and families for their patience and support as we work together to ensure a smooth transition. Your partnership is essential as we strive to create an environment where every learner thrives—every day.
