TASD Receives Numerous Outstanding Educational Performance Awards

The Arkansas Education Report entitled Office of Educational Policy (OEP) highlights excellent performance in schools across the state. The report focuses on schools with the greatest improvement on the ACT Aspire exams and is categorized as Beating the Odds and High-Growth Elementary, Middle, and High Schools in Arkansas. “Each day, our teachers and students work extremely hard to achieve academic success,” Superintendent Dr. Kesler stated. “The awards mentioned in the OEP report are indicative of our commitment to continue to provide a quality education to our students.” Below is a list of the Texarkana Arkansas School District campuses that received OEP Awards. In addition to the above OEP Awards, the Arkansas Department of Education named Kilpatrick Elementary and College Hill Elementary Reward Schools. The Reward School program was created to provide financial awards to public schools that rank in the top 20 percent in high student performance, student academic growth, and for secondary schools high graduation rate. As Reward Schools, Kilpatrick and College Hill will each receive monetary awards in the amount of $19,484.94 and $13,783.24, respectively.
