Summer feeding program
Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) Coursework

AMI coursework for days 6-10 remain available on the www.tasd7.net website (this covers the two weeks for no on-site instruction – no work was assigned for the week of Spring Break). New AMI coursework will be added to the website on Monday, April 6, 2020.

Teacher Contact - All students/parents will be contacted twice a week by his or her teacher to answer any questions regarding coursework. The first call from the teacher will take place no later than Friday, April 10. The call may come from a number with No Caller ID or Unknown Caller, please answer. Your teacher will give you his or her e-mail

Grab-and-Go Meals
Starting Monday, March 30, grab-and-go meals will be available (Monday through Friday) at various bus stops, in addition to the College Hill Elementary and North Heights sites (11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.). Visit a stop near you to receive your grab-and-go meals.

You will receive lunch and breakfast for the next today.
*No morning pick-up time.

TASD UPDATE - March 19, 3:17 p.m.

During a press conference held today by Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, all K-12 schools are closed for on-site instruction until April 17th and will be re-evaluated based on public health conditions at the time. Please stay connected with us on our website www.tasd7.net, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We will provide additional information soon in light of this most recent information.


TASD UPDATE - March 16, 2:45 p.m.

Dear Families, We recognize the significant impact this extended closure will have on students, families, staff, and our entire community. Closing the Texarkana Arkansas School District for the next few weeks is unprecedented. We acknowledge the anxiety this may cause our students; we also acknowledge the burden this will place on our staff and our families.  With that said, so many people have reached out to lend a helping hand. Thank you – our community is wonderful. During this time, it is encouraging to witness our community coming together to support each other and our students. 
Closure Reminder
Texarkana Arkansas School District is closed from Monday, March 16, through Friday, March 27, and will reconvene on Monday, March 30. This closure includes all schools and office buildings, as well as extracurricular activities. In accordance with the closure of public parks in Texarkana, Arkansas, all TASD outside areas including fields and playgrounds are closed to the public.
Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) Days 
Beginning Monday, March 16, students will have access to assignments and resources to engage in continued educational learning. AMI assignments, for each grade level, are located on the TASD website at www.tasd7.net. If you do not have access to the Internet, students will be allowed to complete assignments after classes reconvene. If you do not have a printer to print some of the assignments, you may use a sheet of paper to write down your answers.
Grab-and-Go Breakfast and Lunch
Grab-and-go breakfast and lunch will be available March 16 – 20* at two of the TASD campuses: College Hill Elementary – (200 Artesian) and North Heights Junior High School – (2118 E. 35th Street): Breakfast – 7:00 - 8:30 a.m. Lunch – 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Students on the north or south ends of the school district should visit one of the two sites, closest to him or her, to receive breakfast and lunch. * Breakfast and lunch will not be served during Spring Break (March 23 -27)

ARKANSAS SCHOOL DISTRICT CLOSING SCHOOLS
March 15, 2020During a press conference held on Sunday, March 15, Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson announced the optional closing of all schools in the state of Arkansas on Monday, March 16, and mandatory closing for all school districts in the state starting March 17 through March 30. Per the guidance and direction of Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson and Secretary of Education Johnny Key, all Texarkana Arkansas School District schools will be closed starting Monday, March 16 through March 30, 2020. Grab-and-go breakfast and lunches will be available March 16 – 20* at two of the TASD campuses:
College Hill Elementary – (200 Artesian) and North Heights Junior High School – (2118 E. 35th Street):
Breakfast – 7:00 - 8:30 a.m.
Lunch – 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
*Breakfast and lunch will not be served during Spring Break (March 23 -27).
